OT: Handling Politics the plug-discuss way?

 really?  we've just had some very interesting and articulate ideas
discussed that are relevant to Linux users.  This sort of thing
attracts intelligent people.  Honestly I get the impression that some
people are blowing it out of proportion because they have some stupid
petty agenda.
