Apache losing ground as Internet expands

I will need to look at some stats, but it might be due to other 
alternatives are taking away from Apache's current use and future use. 
Such as lighttpd, thttpd, etc. For example, when I need to put up a 
simple website, I have often used mini_httpd on various servers.
