need a good graphics card for my laptop (kubuntu)

Maybe you can, maybe you can't.  Most of the Dell XPS line does have
seperate replaceable video cards, but not neccesarily
changeable/upgradeable.  Oftentimes the sockets will be different from card
to card.  If you can change them out, often times you'll find you'll be
limited to what cards were originally offered in the machine.

Upgrading laptops isn't at all like upgrading desktop mahcines, altho
they're getting there.
