Hey,
I may have seen this problem before.

>From what i understand you are trying to install Fedora core 4 on a system.
You have downloaded the ISO images and burned the disks.
Upon trying to boot the image the kernel panics before you can reach any
part of the install.

I have seen this problem before and it has a very strange fix.
Try this

Boot from the first cd as you normally would.
When the computer prompts you for the image you wish to boot type in some
random characters.  Anything but an image label. press enter.

obviously this will error and not boot anything.

now type linux and press enter

the distro should now boot normally.
