I don't live all that far from you and my 'second' dad lives right off
central at Frier - the phone lines near his house seem to be noisy and
sometimes cause problems as there are many bundles of damaged wires
there.

Cox is faster, Qwest is probably a bit more reliable. You can use
bittorrent to get faster downloads of iso files.

Cox doesn't stomps many ports on dhcp/residential clients like
25/80/137-139 etc. while Qwest will pretty much let you do anything you
want with the bandwidth.

No clear cut winners as I see it. (I'm on Cox - it ain't necessarily
cheaper)
