Functional Job Title: Transition Engineer

Positions Available: SIX (6)

Contract Rate: 40/hr W2

Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. MST. -OR- 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. MST.
Position requires mandatory evening/night support and/or overtime as
needed.


Job Description:
Transition Engineers (TEs) are responsible for integrating and deploying
developed web applications. The TE functions as a Subject Matter Expert
(SME) and development resource for the operating system and environment.
The TE also provides guidance for process, standards, and best
practices.

Mandatory Skills (Required): 

	*	5 years experience in diversified background of applied
technical support including experience in web and Internet technologies.

	*	Ability to analyze problems and identify solutions in a
high pressure environment; ability to apply advanced troubleshooting
techniques. 
	*	Strong written and oral communications. 
	*	Ability to multitask and work multiple issues
simultaneously. 
	*	Strong customer interface skills. 
	*	Advanced knowledge of Sun Solaris 2.x and demonstrated
applicable experience. 
	*	Strong knowledge and applied experience with LAN/WAN
technology and TCP/IP. 
	*	Basic knowledge of command level (no graphical
interface) operation with one or more of the following: IBM WebSphere
Application Server versions 3.5, 4.0, and 5.0. 


Additional Skills/Experience (Benefit): 

	*	Experience working with a 3-Tier application and network
environment. 
	*	Experience working in a development to production
environment. 
	*	Experience working with Linux in an enterprise
environment. 
	*	Experience with enterprise application support. 
	*	Understanding of applied principles of E-Business. 
	*	Applied experience with automation tools and scripting. 
	*	Experience with one or more of the following: Netscape
Enterprise Server, SunOne, Apache Web Server/IBM HTTP Server. 
	*	Experience with or knowledge of Message Queueing (MQ)
and Java Messaging Service (JMS).
