Recommend Samba Book?

Look at installing SWAT, which is a web-based configuration tool for
Samba. Once installed, you can use this tool to configure your Samba
setup via point & click. (It lives at http://your.samba.machine:901)
It's still a good idea to get a few books or articles so you'll know
what you're doing, but SWAT might make it easier to figure out what's
possible.
