linux on compaq LTE 5100

Thanks Vaughn,
That seems to have done the trick (althought alt0 didn't work, so I used
linux)
-when I used the defaults, the install recognized and powered up my wireless
lan pcmcia card, but with the switches that didn't happen.
-now I can't get a gui to come up :-(
