Secure if the hosts are trusted and the environment is secure/trusted. =

Considering telnet is in use, one may assume they are in a trusted
environment, which has got to be pretty trustworthy since I won't even
use telnet on my home LAN behind two firewalls.  Maybe I'm paranoid?
