The next Phoenix eXtreme Programming User Group meeting will be held on
Monday, June 9th. This is an informal gathering of Phoenix area
developers and project managers who are interested in agile software
development, especially, eXtreme Programming (XP). If you want to find
out more about agile software development, this is the place to go!=20
We have a new Yahoo! Group - Subscribe to
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/XpPhoenix to be notified of upcoming agile
development events in Phoenix, AZ.
Topic: Winning Acceptance for Agile Methodologies - eXtreme Programming
works great for most types of software development projects -
small-scale, large-scale and business critical. However, XP critics are
hesitant to believe such claims, and voice concerns over XP's
suitability for many projects. This presentation will focus on winning
the acceptance of customers, management and critics.=20
Topics will include:
* Removing the impedance mismatch between XP and Management
* Scaling Up XP through the use of power tools=20
* Scaling Out XP through the use of management frameworks
Demonstration of power tools will bring alive the discussion. Let's
talk about things that have worked well, and things that - well -
provided "valuable experience". We'll be taking time for challenging
discussion as well as sharing war stories.
Presenter: Michael Sawicky has a background in software quality
management and a track record of successfully delivering solutions
through the use of Agile methodologies. He is the Senior Manager of
Inside-Outsource, a Microsoft Certified Partner. Michael currently
holds several industry certifications: CCP, MCSD, MCSE for Windows 2000,
MCDBA, as well as endorsement as a Microsoft Solution Framework
Practitioner. =20
