The following is on sale at Fry's with a mail-in rebate making the cost=20
<$10. Does anyone have experience with this card under Linux (I am=20
specifically looking for SuSE support). Information on=20
http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ is sparse.

D-Link DFE-690TXD 32-Bit Cardbus 10/100 PC Card

32-Bit CardBus PC Cards :
Outpost #: 3423673
The D-Link DFE-690TXD is a 32-bit Cardbus 10/100Mbps NWay Fast Ethernet PC=
=20
Card with a built in connector, allowing direct plug-in for a RJ-45 LAN=20
cable to a laptop and notebook computers. The DFE-690TXD is targeted at=20
users of notebook or laptop computers with either the current Cardbus or=20
the legacy PCMCIA controllers.

Detailed Description <http://shop3.outpost.com/product/3423673/#>[return=20
to top]

The DFE-690TXD adheres to IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.3u standard, which=20
specify existing 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Ethernet technology; supporting=20
both half and full duplex modes with data rates to 10/100Mbps and=20
20/200Mbps. The DFE-690TXD also utilizes auto-negotiation to adjust the=20
speed to any 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX network.

With the DFE-690TXD's 4KB RAM data buffer, all incoming data is processed=20
and stored into temporary memory, eventually being filtered out allowing a=
=20
smooth transition of data flow. The DFE-690TXD extensive diagnostic LEDs=20
show link connectivity for both 10Link/Activity and 100Link/Activity.

Designed with a plug-and-play feature, the DFE-690TXD allows the user to=20
simply install the adapter for automatic detection. Once installed, the=20
DFE-690TXD can be removed while the computer is still in operation due to=20
hot swapping capabilities.
