How do you boot Windows into a Terminal Window while having Linux up?

Sounds like he might be using vmware (http://www.vmware.com)  You can use it
to run an OS within an OS, and you can run the "guest" os within a window if
you desire.  They have versions for both Linux and W2k that allow you to
boot lots of different OS's (linux, bsd, w2k etc.).
