is there a howto on how i wold go about setting up samba to do that, ive never used it before ever, and an install on the regular partition would be a complete reinstal. Also ive narrowed my parport problem to permissions, they are ...

crw-rw-rw- 1 bob users 99, 0 Jul 22 15:04 parport0

and when i bootup vmware it says it cant open parport0 permission denied.

and lastly i have tried gnutella and it just is not as good as kazaa, at least not for me, i can never download from hosts and when i can i get ungodly slow speeds.

Also i have an 8 gig partition on my disk that i use for mp3's is there a way to have VMware see that partition as an extra drive and write to it and have it mounted in linux so i can play my MP3's? i need it to do that because i use KaZaa to download my mp3's(the spyware free version) and havent been able to get it to work in wine =/ Thanks in advance for any help.
