KDE or GNOME not both?

Either you're running 'gnome-session' or you're running KDE.  I don't
imagine you would run both session managers at the same time.  So if you
are running GNOME and don't want the KDE support libs and apps to load,
then don't run and KDE apps, and vice-versa when in KDE.
