K-Mail

A bit more information, it is the sending of mail where I need to
authenticate to the smtp server, not receiving mail. I do not send through
the same server I receive on. I need to pass this server an account and
password that is different from the account and password for the receiving
mail (pop) server. In outlook I check a box on the servers tab that says
"My server requires authentication" go to the settings and enter it there.
I cannot find anywhere on K-mail to do this.

In the Incoming Mail section, you click on the Add... button and you can add
a new account to get your mail. I use KMail on my home computer to get my
email out of my Yahoo Mail account, and it authenticates with their smtp
server just fine.

Email me if you need more information, but first try setting one up with
the
Add... button and also take a look at their help pages - they're pretty
helpful.
