Survey: interest in subcontract development

Thanks, everybody, for the replies.  I can't promise I'll get anything going, 
because I'm new to the "sales" arena, but it's an encouraging start.  Right 
now I'm trying to do as much networking as possible, and see what's out there.
I plan to start cold-calling sometime soon (need to reread some books and 
practice my pitch) though I'm not looking forward to that.

As per Jay's suggestion, I've subscribed to the GeekJobs list; sounds 
interesting.   I missed the July PLUG discussions (having to do with group 
projects, I guess) that David mentions; I was off the list for a while 
because I was too busy to look at all the messages.  There are a lot of 
messages in the July archive; does anyone happen to remember the relevant 
subject line?
