Redhat 7.1 port access

You may want to check the /etc/hosts.deny file.  Some of the newer installs
have been defaulting to a setting of "ALL: PARANOID", which would result in
denying all connections from the outside world.  "man hosts.deny" should
tell you what the appropriate settings for you are.

I do not have the firewall installed.

Chain input (policy ACCEPT):
Chain forward (policy ACCEPT):
Chain output (policy ACCEPT):

The server is running.  I can connect to it from the
same machine, but when I try to connect to it from a
remote machine, I get a connection refused error.
