Linux distro diffs

In my case I am just trying to learn linux. I really don't have any
need to run a server out of my home although eventually I would like
to network my box with my kids computers. Though I don't want them on
the net so they use mine in the family room so I can watch them. My
box is just an AMD K62-500,64MB,15Gig pretty basic setup.Honestly I
would like the kids to learn Linux as well I think it will be as
prominent if not more in a few years as M$ is now.
