UCITA update.

It IS time that the people get involved with their government.
Complacency will only lead to more oppressive government. As a perfect
example, I cite what the City Council of the City of Tempe has done in
the recent past. Immediately after their election/re-election, they
chose to ignore the promises that that very same council made to the
citizens of Tempe to not use transit tax funds to construct a light rail
system. Even when confronted with written documentation of the promise
that was made to the people, they pressed on with their plan to spend
transit tax money on light rail construction.

It IS time for the people to get involved with their own government.
UCITA will slip through the legislature with nary a whisper of concern for
the citizens if we remain silent on this issue. Maybe it is time to fire
up Emacs or to put a petition page up on the web for people to see and to
sign. Maybe if we get enough people to sign, we CAN make a difference.
