I think it's safe to say that everyone in this group at one time or 
another has had their nut busted by a computer problem, in linux or not.

I don't know about RH7 but in 6.x you had to go into linuxconf and 
configure some things in there, noteably the default route.
Make sure if it's chap or pap you need.

If I had a son I'd want him to start out on linux, he'll always have a 
trade to fall back on. Once you get him going problems like this don't 
seem so big to kids, they just ask somebody until they get an answer or 
just figure it out.

If I ever need my VCR programmed, I just find a teenager.
