Subject: Re: darktable rebooting computer
What have you done to test the overheating theory? Have you at least
popped the case and directed a strong fan in there and restarted the
stress/glmark test?

Other things to try:
Bios settings. Reset to factory recommended defaults, adjust voltages,
underclock, ram timings, etc etc. Not suggesting you do these all at once-
one at a time.
