We have two slots open for DeVry students within the DeVry Linux User
Group who want to manage the OneNeck Hosting rack. This is a great
opportunity to get involved at the DataCenter level and work with
Linux and Security Professionals providing volunteer services to the
DLUG and hackfests.
The requirements are really basic.
This DLUG volunteer position requires a student term commitment. For
more information, please contact David Demland. Other than possibly
authorizing community volunteer access, and keeping track of the
minimal information required in any rack hosting environment, this
volunteer position has a very small time requirement.
The DeVry rack is located at OneNeck Hosting, in Tempe at 7210 S.
Roosevelt at the corner of Alameda and Roosevelt. Authorization and
access requests are fielded through David Demland, and don't require
you to actually be at OneNeck, simply ensure the auth form is
correctly completed. You will liason with the DLUG(s) and David
Demland to provide access and services.
This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience in a rack
hosted environment.
All of the DeVry community outreach resources are managed and consumed
directly by the students themselves.
For more information, please contact David Demland demland at cox.net
