Password is trustme - Festing starts at Noon Tomorrow.

Anyone on the network is fair game.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We will be having a hamachi hackfest next week during the regular hackfest
on Saturday from 12:30 until 3PM for up to 14 users.

We are using the network name "hackfest" 056-335-819

We will send the password to the PLUG LINUX Security list on Friday or
Saturday night. You can also call me to get the password. 5037544452

You will all need to signup with FREE accounts.
https://secure.logmein.com/AU/products/createaccount.aspx

If you are not using Backtrack but want to join, install hamachi:
http://logmeinwiki.com/wiki/Hamachi:Install_on_Linux

If you are using Fedora just get this:
ftp://ftp.pbone.net/mirror/yum.trixbox.org/centos/5/trixswitch/hamachi-0.9.9.9.20-1.i386.rpmit
will prompt you to install.

On Backtrack4R2 hamachi is already installed, you just need to start the
daemon, start the service and select the network to join:

/etc/init.d/hamachi start

When run for the first time the daemon stays offline. To bring it online run

./hamachi login

To bring it back offline use

./hamachi logout

Note that the daemon remembers its state when it is shutdown with 'stop'
command. So if its state was online, it will automatically go online when
started next time. If it was offline, it will stay offline. It's a good idea
to leave it offline and manually start it and stop it, for security sake, so
you don't accidently start it later.
Once logged in, you can join the networks using

hamachi join [netowork name] [password]

example: hamachi join hackfest pasword

The password will be announced on Friday night or Saturday AM.

You will be prompted for the password if it is required.

hamachi go-online [network name]

To go offline in a network, use

hamachi go-offline [network name]

You Ubuntu users can also use Haguichi:
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/haguichi-a-graphical-frontend-for-hamachi-on-linux.html
*This is an open - all hacks allowed - network. So don't join it unless
you are certain about the security of your systems.* We recommend using
Backtrack from a jumpdrive USB or a LiveCD with the harddrive disconnected.

For Windows users:
https://secure.logmein.com/products/createaccount.aspx
Again. we warn you that this is an open network hack - all systems
connecting will be subjected to hacking/cracking.

Please announce your flags. I.E. if you happen to get into someone's
system, please touch a file "lisa_was_here" (use your name not mine) and
claim your flag.

If you set a reverse shell to access later, with Metasploit's autopwn
feature, you must claim your flag.

Okay, great fun!

Don't forget to change your root password, you backtrack4R2 users.
