cat static_apps_list | xargs md5sum > /mnt/floppy/YYMMDD
sleep 4 days;
cat static_apps_list | xargs md5sum > /mnt/floppy/YYMMDD
diff /mnt/floppy/YYMMDD /mnt/floppy/YYMMDD+4
It'd be simple, and necessarily handle all your requirements.
YMMV.

\_ Anybody here have any experience with/favorite ways to verify file
\_ integrity?
\_
\_ I was looking at old Tripwire stuff I had (before they went so
\_ commercial), AIDE, Claymore, Bsign, FreeVeracity, others? for software
\_ that accomplishes this. Also was toying with the idea of using RPM's
\_ verify features to assist in this.
\_
\_ Any suggestions?
\_
\_ Thanks :)
