Remember the 80's when it was difficult to pirate software?  There was 
at lease one utility that would "unlock" software so it could be copied.

I recall that multiple software vendors discovered when their software 
was "locked" they sold less.  The thought was people who were able to 
take the software for a test drive would buy it if they liked it.

That is how I got started with xBase... someone gave me a copy of 
dBaseII.  Over the next 14 years I bought almost all the variants of 
xBase all the way to maybe Visual FoxPro 6... Yikes!!

Not much to pirate these days since I plan to exit Win10 when it dies in 
October and everything else I use is free/Open Source.
