Failure to access repositories when installing Ubuntu 23.10 and 22.04 on Proxmox

Hi,

Trying to install Ubuntu 23.10 server on Proxmox (have tried 22.04 with 
same results)

I downloaded the ISO file and imported it into Proxmox.  Then I created 
a VM using the ISO.  During the install there are some failed messages 
like below.  I continued to completion.

I can SSH into the VM from my Kubuntu desktop.  I can also SSH into 
Proxmox.

Here is what happens when I try to perform an update:

I've Googled for a while and most of the suggestions center around DNS 
or needing to update the repositories in use.

Any insight is much appreciated!!

By the way I upgraded Proxmox to the latest version before I tried to 
create these VMs.  I'm now wondering if that has something to do with 
this problem.  I can update the two VMs I installed last year before 
upgrading Proxmox.
