System building trouble

I've thought the same until after various fiddling with stupid n-by-x power
connections of different form-factors of power/mobo/gpu - it's just some
damn formula I never figured out. Last 2 mobo's and gpu's I've had to
fiddle with both 6 or 8 pin to make work on my gpu/mobo, once it works I
rather forget being few/far between and curse having to fiddle in the first
place.

YMMV here is all I'm declaring, either way it's quirky. Don't trust the
motherboard power. Thank vendor wars.
