If an update doesn't fix it try downgrading to the one that wasn't borking
your setup.

Just Ctrl+F to "Rollback the changes/Downgrade Linux Kernel" -- Essentially
you need to select the older kernel you knew that was working last from the
GRUB menu, and see how well it works. If no issues, set it to that kernel.
