Error when trying to watch Hulu Video

Hi,

I have not been able to watch video's on Crackle or Hulu for several 
weeks.  I get the error "There was a problem playing this protected 
content. (Error Code: 3336)" in Firefox on Hulu.

Seems I am not alone.  Lots of other are in the same boat.  Tried a 
number of suggestions found via searching, however none have worked.  
The main one was to install the hal library.

I'm running Mint 17 Qiana and FireFox 40.0.3
