OT: Is it just me or is Firefox slowing worse?

I had this problem some time ago.  I seem to recall it happened when I 
had a lot of tabs open.  Probably in excess of 8 or 10.  If you close 
some of your tabs and it speeds up, please post that as a possible 
reason for FF sluggish behavior.
