gscan2pdf "Error opening device: Invalid argument"

I got home from the gym and thought to myself that I should remove and
re-add my printer. Well, removing it was no problem but I found I had
difficulties re-adding it.
I go to menu->administration->printers->add.... but don't know what to do
past that. I tried entering the ip address of the printer into the URI
field and into Network printer->host field but that didn't work. What am I
doing wrong?
