Truecrypt site hacked?

Yesterday I read about something called Realcrypt. It does what
Truecrypt does, but binaries seem to only be available for distros that
use the RPM package format. Does anyone know if it's a safe alternative
to Truecrypt? If so are there .deb binaries available or where can the
source be found?
