Could I do it with something else? I mean, if I put usb connectors on the
ends of cat5 strands it wouldn't actually be usb; would it? I wish cannon
would of put an rj45 port into it...... HEY.... look at that, they put a
plug in it, that's why I couldn't see it. Well, I connected it to the modem
but it still aint working. I connected via my laptop though..... there
isn't 'just the printer'.

His computer is hard wired to the modem. The modem is hardwired to the
modem. I would think that it would be considered a 'network printer'. But
when I browse for the printer the only thing that shows is the printer
attached to the linux box. I tried connecting to that but nothing printed.
