OMG, no!  It is NOT easier to manually print, fill out and scan back in!
 Also, the environmental impact of all this printing and marking up, re
scanning and printing needs to be considered.

As someone with a tree tatoo'd on my left ring finger, I completely
appreciate any PDF munging that saves the resources of our beautiful
planet.
