we have several openings. We're already interviewing for a couple, so if

We have several NOC openings. These positions are shift work and generally
require a mix of technical knowledge and customer service skills. Customer
service is for corporate accounts and generally handled via email. I
believe our NOC pays well. NOC is a good way to gain experience. NOC
positions will be on site in downtown Tempe. Knowing networking and
GNU/Linux are definite assets for the NOC.

We also have several senior level positions open for the group I'm in.
These positions don't necessarily have to be done from Tempe, but I
believe candidates that can work out of our offices in either Tempe or
Grand Rapids, MI would be preferred.

@ Cloud Services Engineer:

Limelight Networks is seeking a senior level Cloud Services Engineer
with experience deploying and supporting one of the largest cloud
infrastructures. As a Cloud Services Engineer you will manage the
day-to-day operational aspects of our cloud storage and virtualization
infrastructure. In addition, you will assist in the execution of tactical
operational infrastructure initiatives by building, deploying, and
managing storage and virtualization solutions.

Required Qualifications:

. Expertise with the OpenStack architecture and its associated technologies
(Nova, Swift, Ceph, etc)
. Experience with IaaS technologies and architectures such as Nova, Swift,
Ceph, etc, as well as virtualization technologies
. Experience with Virtualization technologies and architectures such as KVM,
Xen, etc
. Knowledge of deployment automation and configuration management solutions
such as Chef, Puppet, CFEngine or similar technologies.
. Strong Unix/Linux/BSD system programming experience (Perl, Python, Bash,
shell, etc)

@ DevOps Automation Engineer:

Limelight Networks is seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer that will help
us maintain our Content Delivery and SaaS platforms along with enhancing
our cloud platform. As a DevOps Automation Engineer you will focus on
improving the scalability, resilience and efficiency of our systems by
building and maintaining an automation framework and using that framework
to automate distributed processes.

Required Qualifications:

. Demonstrated ability to design, implement and maintain tools and
automation framework components
. Advanced experience with version control systems (git, svn, cvs, etc).
. Experience with automation solutions such as Rundeck, Salt, or similar
technologies.
. Experience with configuration management solutions such as Chef, Puppet,
CFEngine or similar technologies.
. Strong Unix/Linux/BSD system programming experience (Perl, Python, Bash,
shell, etc)

@ Data Services Engineer:

Limelight Networks is seeking a data engineer with experience with
traditional databases, NoSQL, and complex data messaging infrastructures.
As a Data Services Engineer you will manage the day-to-day operational
aspects of the datastores and messaging systems that support Limelight
Networks' Content Delivery and SaaS platforms. In addition, you will
assist in the execution of tactical operational infrastructure initiatives
by building, deploying, and managing complex datastores, messaging
systems, and processes. This position will typically have a datastore or
messaging focus, however, experience with both is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and maintain complex datastores
and/or messaging subsystems.
. Experience with at least one SQL RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres, etc) and one
NoSQL database (MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, etc).
. Experience with data messaging systems or frameworks such as RabbitMQ,
ZeroMQ, or ActiveMQ.
. Experience with configuration management solutions such as Chef, Puppet,
CFEngine or similar technologies.
. Strong Unix/Linux/BSD system programming experience (Perl, Python, Bash,
shell, etc).

@ Systems Developer:

Limelight Networks is seeking a Perl/Python and UNIX Script Developer
who has current hands-on coding skills required for an enterprise level
platform. Must have previous Operational experience with large global
networks. You should be well versed in monitoring and troubleshooting WAN
networking issues and Unix systems automation. Experience with monitoring
tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Zenoss highly desirable.

Required Qualifications:

. Strong Unix/Linux/BSD system programming experience (Perl, Python, Bash,
shell, etc).
. Knowledgeable in configuring and maintaining large scale monitoring
systems (Zabbix, Nagios, Zenoss, etc).
. 2-3 years WAN Operational experience.
. Understanding of markup languages (JSON, XML, YAML, etc).
. Work closely with other developers and engineers to build and execute
technical test plans.
. Must be a good problem solver and have a drive to make the right decisions
the first time.
. Ability to take ownership of projects and meet deadlines.
. Team player and fast learner.

@ Capacity and Performance Manager:

Limelight Networks is seeking a Capacity and Performance Manager that will
help manage capacity and performance for our Content Delivery and SaaS
platforms. As a Capacity and Performance Manager you will work with large
datasets to identify capacity and performance trends in order to create
short-term and long-term capacity plans. You will be responsible for
working with engineering staff to develop a numerical capacity management
and reporting framework across a diverse set of services including Content
Delivery, Network Infrastructure, Storage, and SaaS platforms; using that
framework to translate the data into recommendations and actionable plans.
You will also provide Engineering and Development teams requirements
to further instrument systems and software to improve capacity and
performance reporting and analytics.

Required Qualifications:

. A strong analytical and mathematical background.
. Telecommunications or IP networking experience.
. Experience in triaging performance and availability problems on wide
scale, enterprise applications running on distributed cloud systems.
. Experience using monitoring and instrumentation tools.
. Experience with data mining various datastore systems

Strong Unix/Linux/BSD system programming experience (Perl, Python, Bash,
shell, etc).

Preferred Qualifications:

. Technical knowledge of IP networking, IP peering, IP transit and CDN.
. Experience defining systems or process requirement; technical knowledge of
developing interoperability solutions, data analysis, system operations
development.
. Exceptionally strong communication skills and a data-driven analytical
approach toward solving complex challenges.

@ Sr. Manager, SaaS Technical Operations

As the Sr. Manager of SaaS Technical Operations you will be responsible
for developing and leading a team of engineers and architects who are
tasked with the deployment and continued growth of Limelight Networks’
SaaS platforms and internal support systems. You will be responsible for
operational strategies and solutions for the SaaS platform as well as the
operational integration of the SaaS products with the Content Delivery
Network. In addition, you will lead tactical and strategic operational
infrastructure initiatives by scoping, resourcing, and managing processes
and projects that facilitate the introduction of new products, features,
and services while allowing existing services to scale.

Essential Functions:

. Lead and manage a team of technology professionals tasked with managing
operations of a world class SaaS platform.
. Analyze business needs, service roadmaps, and service lifecycles to
develop operational strategies, architectures, and designs that meet the
needs of each stakeholder.
. Analyze service metrics and other key operational indicators to identify
systemic architectural or operational process issues or gaps. Use this
and other information to recommend changes in system or service
architectures or develop changes to operational processes or procedures.
. Develop and maintain a high level of expertise within Limelight's services
and products.
. Demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and unwavering customer
focus. The incumbent will have documented ability to communicate the value
of our solution in a way that resonates with all levels of Limelight
. Networks’ organization.
. Direct and review the development and implementation of formalized
operational processes and procedures. Use this and and other information
to develop requirements for system and process automation.
. Mentor and direct others in their technology evaluations, technical
designs, and technical implementations as they relate to operations.

Qualifications:

. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or closely related field
or comparable education and experience typically obtained by five or more
years related work experience; masters or MBA a plus.
. 7+ years managing production operations and IT infrastructure teams;
previous experience with SaaS environments is required.
. Demonstrated expertise in designing, building and managing complex
computing systems and services with experience directing operational
engineers in these processes.
. Working experience in operational design of distributed large-scale
systems involving software, hardware, network and process components.
. Can effectively communicate system/service capabilities and limitations by
preparing thorough and articulate documentation, developing processes and
procedures, and participating in or leading formal presentations.
. Demonstrated experience in working with both agile and plan-driven
development processes such as Scrums, Agile Development, Extreme
Programming, and the Rational Unified Process.
. Demonstrated experience in working with large-scale systems management
processes, including configuration management and change control
processes.
. Demonstrated experience in the development of operational requirements as
they relate to large-scale systems implementations in highly distributed
service infrastructures.
. Demonstrated ability in developing large-scale functional system
architectures, implementation designs, and operational processes in
collaboration with product owners, system stakeholders, and development
engineers.
. Demonstrated ability and willingness to act as technical expert when
necessary, to track technology trends and to provide sound basis and
reasoning for recommending technology paths. Demonstrated ability to
mentor or direct others in their technology evaluations.
. Experience in various caching architectures including CDN integration in a
production environment.
. Experience with operating in a secure environment i.e. PCI and SAS 70.
