Yes, and make both sides match. Look up EIA/TIA T568A/B standards.
Just have to make sure as if you reverse green and orange on one side,
you make a crossover, but colors are used somewhat interchangeably for
straight-through cables as long as they match.
Keep the pairs as twisted and sheathed inside the rj45 as much as
possible when you crimp, otherwise you get interference that equals errors.
