in stalling Joomla

it is asking me for a database so I figure mysql but it isn't installed. No
problem.... I'll apt-get it. Apt-get install mysql<tab tab> gives a lot of
download candidates though. Which should I install? I'm thinking
mysql-server but there is also  ...server-5.5 and ...server-core-5.5. Here
are the candidates:
$ sudo apt-get install mysql
mysql-client           mysql-mmm-tools        mysql-testsuite
mysql-client-5.5       mysql-proxy            mysql-testsuite-5.5
mysql-client-core-5.5  mysql-server           mysqltuner
