gmail profile cards

[Ed]

Looks different from what I get (solid white) - have you checked your
plugins? maybe it is  a G+ thing, does it still do that if you aren't
signed into Chrome.  Something is changing the stylsheet of the popup
- does a restart of the browser with a clean cache help?
