Stephen, Matt - As far as delta - 10 people spread between three work
centers, Use of or calls to the same files (except for CAD) will be light,
however the calls to the main directory for a project will be heavier.  An
typical example would be:

On one Engineering project:

1 -2 Engineers working on Calculations in excel or another program
2 - business Admin people working in Word, excel or MS Project
2 - 3 CAD techs (located in different work centers) working in AutoCAD
drawings, 2 working in separate plan document drawings and 1 CAD person
updating the reference drawing the the other two have linked to there plan
drawings.
