I do not know if is too late but, had you asked this before setting up a 
server to use KVM, I would have suggested ProxMox-VE 
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Main_Page.  It installs a base Debian 
Install, then adds OpenVZ (hyper-virtualization) and KVM (full 
virtualization) along with a web console.  You can even cluster several 
servers together.  Installed with a SAN, and you can even do live 
migration of Windows VMs.
