New Linux patch improves scheduler... by allot

Apparently we do not need to wait.  Users can do the equivalent now and
fairly easily.  Linus still wants to do the kernel patch for reasons you
have to read way into the comments to see.  Be aware that ununtu users have
slightly different instructions.
