How to shrink a windows partition to make more room for Linux?

Sorry I can't really answer your question about this because I "nuked"
(reformatted) the whole system and just started over with a fresh install
of Linux to avoid wasting any more time on this frustrating problem.

Like you said, everything about M$ is "too much spooky and secret crap."
