Oil Spill Data and Robots

So the Government has released various data about the oil spill and response
efforts at http://www.energy.gov/open/oilspilldata.htm I thought it was neet
when I scrolled down and there spreadsheets were in both xls and the open
format ods. It would be better if all items were in open format but is is a
start. On a related but not related note that may be of interest there is an
underwater robotics competition in Chandler
http://www.h2orobots.org/zindex.htm This could be cool and is sort of the
foundation of all they are doing in the gulf
