Remember the CompuCom 14400? They used their own protocol if I remember 
right. It was the cat's meow.... for about 6 months :-(
Then I heard the owner died... end of company.

I STILL have MY USR Courier V.Everything 56k. To this day, they are 
still $250+ new and mine is MINT.
I keep it... just in case.
