What is the command to copy files from A to B when ssh connected?

I offer this only for completness since I would just go ahead and use
scp or rsync, but you did ask how to transfer files though ssh so here goes:

tar -cv /source/files/or/directory/ |ssh user at server-ip-or-domian 'tar
-x -C /destination/directory/'
