#RE: No root password in Ubuntu 9.04 after updating

Tried to mount the partition but it was already mounted.
Then entered:
root at eagle:~# /etc/sudoers

and got this return

bash:/etc/sudoers:Permission denied.

So I am still at a loss on how to fix this problem!!
