Subject: Looking to crash course myself in php

Anyone have any fun tools to get started in building php code (primarily for
web application)

Maybe an editor (cross platform preferred if possible) that does some basic
organization of php code (color codeing your fucntions/classes)

I may not be toofond of coding, but i deal with php too often to not
understand it better.
