Joe will be doing a presentation on phpmyadmin for the west side meeting
this month.

I might do a preview of part of my Intermediate Bash presentation that I
will be giving at SCaLE.

Bio: Joe Lesko has worked with Linux since 1993. He is LPIC-2 certified.

Abstract: You've heard of MySQL and know it's used for a lot of
applications. But, you say to yourself it's hard to deal with and what can
you really do with it. This presentation will cover phpmyadmin, a web
interface that allows administering and querying of MySQL. It's the best
thing to happen to MySQL since Linux.

Joe will cover the following using phpmyadmin:

1. How phpmyadmin can show you where there are the performance problems in
mysql.
2. Phpmyadmin display of all mysql server variable.
3. How to naviagte through database and tables.
4. Explain those funny icons in phpmyadmin and what they mean.
5. Preform a query by example.
6. Bookmarked queries.

To demonstrate just how powerful mysql and phpmyadmin is, the demo will be
done on a ASUS EEE pc with a database containing 10 million records!
