I for one am very tempted to unsubscribe from this list until this all goes away.  I'm a member for useful linux related knowledge, not political and religious debate...  Unless talking about SCO and the church of slackware.

Exactly.. fruitless discussion that beckons illusionary bipartisan bickering.
This has no place here.  There may be no rules about it, but there is
self control.
Otherwise there would need to be rules, which goes against being free.
