remove linux from dual boot machine?

in winxp, if you still have access to the old fdisk program, you can
run fdisk /mbr and that should remove the linux bootloader. also, you
can reformat the drive partition under 'start/settings/control
panel/administrative tools/computer management/locat storage'

also, you can start up windows in 'repair mode' by pressing f8 during
its boot sequence and then at the proper menu, choose repaur console.
once therem tou can rewrite the mbr with the command fixboot (I think.
it has been a while since I last did this).
